Dr. Erica Tharp is a licensed optometrist who joined 20/20 Eye Physicians of Indiana in 2024. She provides thorough and comprehensive eye care, and believes that patient involvement and education is the key to sustaining overall ocular health. Her special areas of interest include soft and hard contact lens fitting, as well as the care of patients with diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration and has a passion for the geriatric and underserved communities.
Dr. Tharp graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry where she was an associate instructor of clinical sciences, Prior to graduation, she completed externships in ocular disease, specialty contact lens fitting, pediatrics, low vison and primary care. Dr. Tharp was a founding member and president of the Pre-Optometry Club at IUPUI and a member of the NCAA Division I Women’s softball team.
